We are ONE years old! omg...

Haha... OMG OMG OMG...!
It's so hard to believe that 'A Tale of Two Superheroes' actually turned ONE years old yesterday! Haha.

Happy Birthday to us! (in case if you're wondering why does the cake looks so familiar, it's a recycled cake from Superhero Mum's Birthday earlier this month! Haha. :p)

Our tales started exactly 1 year, 1 day ago on September 24th, 2007, with our first post, "It's gettin' hot in here". Haha. To be honest, at that time... we know nothing about blogging, the blogosphere and everything else surrounding it. It was just based on curiosity and a mild spark of interest that both Superhero S and Superhero W began writing down their adventures in their life as 'superheroes'. *grins*

What's best was... we had not even the slightest idea that this blog would one day eventually work out to be a foodie blog! Haha. Let alone me putting up my kitchen experiments on this blog. What started as just simple cooking for idiots (i.e. using canned food) soon became a great roller coaster culinary adventure of mine where I started exploring and experimenting with different recipes and even 'baked' my first cake!

The two superheroes' proudest moment in their baking history! Presenting... their one and only (successful) cake... (albeit this being more like a super rich Haagen Daz Cookies 'n' Cream ice cream!)

Many many thanks to all our blogger friends and readers who have been with us since the very beginning, or who have joined us somewhere in the middle and even those who have just gotten to know us both! Thank you all for supporting us till this day, and thanks for spending that few minutes to write us a comment for our posts. It truly means a lot to us, and your words have continued to spur us to write better posts, and taking our adventures out of KL into Melaka to highlight the best foodie places around.

Happy 1st year anniversary to 'A Tale of Two Superheroes'! It was indeed a year well spent in the blogosphere... *grins*

Back on the red carpet. Where are my Oscars?

Thanks to sweet JenJen, the twosuperheroes received like 4 straight awards in one post. Clean sweep ah. Haha. Since it's been quite a while since we last participated in the awards seasons for blogs, *grins* it got us thinking, "Hey! we are back on the red carpet once again eh?! Same time with the Oscars!"

Where are our bald-headed naked gold figurines? Heh heh. :p

Thank you everybody as this really means a lot to the both of us superheroes.

Over the short period of 4 months+, we have learnt a lot from our fellow bloggers as well as from our readers. From our first post in late September 2007 to our meeting up with our super blogger friend, Dreckker who took the time to take us around for a nice tour in Kuching, all the way to this post today, we have made many many friends in this beautiful blogging world.

We will continue to write more amazing tales of the two superheroes and explore the wide wide world outdoors to bring our fellow bloggers and readers only the best. This, we promise. Thank you once again! :)

We made it this far. But the road is still long and winding up ahead. But the two superheroes are thankful that they have people like you to walk down the road with. *smiles*

We finally made it to TGI Friday's @ Pavilion KL

Yes. FINALLY...

The two superheroes made it to TGI Friday's before the expiry date after all! Haha... :p

Because they knew that no matter how much they eat, they won't be able to finish off the RM100 voucher, they've decided to bring along their best buddy, Ting to help gobble down all the foodies! Hehe...

They eventually settled for TGI Friday's @ Pavilion KL for 2 good reasons:
1) The parking is damn cheap and we don't have to walk far
2) Surprisingly, we came back from Mars and have never been to Pavilion before!

Okay, for the parking...we didn't park in Pavilion but somewhere very near. Since we're just so damn familiar with the area, we settled for a cool strategic parking spot which cost us RM3 ONLY per entry (after 6pm). With that, we can save ourselves from paying RM7 flat rate after 7pm. Ngeh ngeh ngeh ngeh.... :p

Finally reached TGI on the 6th floor. Made reservations for 7pm. Yay!
As soon as Ting reached TGI, we went in and cashed in on our winnings... :p

We ordered two 3-course meals, so there's like 6 dishes for the 3 of us. For starters, there's of course the Mac & Cheese and Buffalo Wings. For the entree, we chose Chicky Parmesan Quesadillas and Pineapple Mojito Whitefish. For dessert, we took both the Friday's Sundae and Cookies 'N' Cream.

So are we satisfied with our meal? Hmm...Yes and no, actually.

YES for the Mac & Cheese, Chicky Parmesan Quesadillas, Friday's Sundae, Cookies & Cream AND I can never leave out the ultra excellent service we received there. The staff there are like the smiliest bunch of ppl I've ever seen. Wonderful!

NO for the Buffalo Wings because it's too salty and the portion's too small, the Pineapple Mojito Whitefish because it tastes kinda weird (highly NOT recommended) and the ambience in TGI Friday's Pavilion. We felt that the ventilation's kinda bad in the outlet. Plus it's really warm and we can't actually feel the air-con. At one point, I nearly couldn't breathe...

But thanks to the fun company we've got, Ting got us both laughing in stitches throughout the meal. Thanks man! :p

Let's eat TGI FRiDAY'S!

Ohhhh!!!!!!

Since the two superheroes are going to eat TGI soon after winning Nuffnang's "Why I want to eat at Friday's" (see our winning post!) , it's time to put in some effort to get us ready for that nice meal....! :p

Okay okay... So what should we do then?

1. Start having 7 meals a day! - pre-breakfast, breakfast, tea-time 1, lunch, tea-time 2, dinner & supper (wahhhhh....!) to get our stomach active and running for the big day!! :p

2. Start visiting TGI outlets to make quick rounds so that we can familiarize with the surroundings and atmosphere!!! :p (No, waiter...we're just visiting the restaurant..erm, maybe you can take us for a tour around TGI too? haha!)

3. Start scouting and shopping for loose clothings like XXXL tees or stretchable pants so that there's space for our tummies to expand when we eat on our big day! (Oh god!)

4. Start dreaming about all the above because Superhero S still wants to stay her size!!!! hahah!

My Google Page Rank is now 2 !!! (Arhhhhhhhhh...!)

On this date, 29th October 2007, our blog is 1 month and 5 days old. Within this first month, the two superheroes have seen lots of achievements being made in "A Tale of Two Superheroes". But of course, most importantly, we've made a lot of friends in this blogosphere..

However all these while, one thing has always remained illusive to us and the one thing that I've always thought about and discussed with Superhero S - our Google Page Rank. Of late, I've encountered many postings about Google Page Rank being downgraded in a lot of blogs, with some of those affected being very significant bloggers like John Chow, 5xMom, Sabahan.com and a lot more other probloggers.

Just now, my friend Xyiry suddenly told me that the Google Page Rank has come "alive" (oh yeah...!) and has made a mass updating to all blogs. But for me, I was thinking that "hey, a 1-month old blog wouldn't have any difference in the Page Rank because the last time we checked our Page Rank, it was N/A (not available) *down!

But, I was shocked when just this morning, I checked "A Tale of Two Superheroes" and found that we have a PAGE RANK of 2 !!! Arhhhhhh!!!! what a big surprise!!
But hey hey hey, we're not going to stop at that. We strive to go further and promise to continue bringing a lot more exciting contents to all our readers!!!

Our Baby is 1 Month Old !!!

Yes, our baby is finally one month old.
One month ago, same day, September 24th, A Tale Of Two Superheroes was born!
Our first post was published on that same day! (related post)

You know, the first month is always the most significant. For the two superheroes, having broken our 1000th mark last week and having made a nice community of friends here is an extremely happy start for us. We promise to continue using our superpowers to excite our readers and fellow bloggers in more posts to come!

So, hang in there ppl and continue to walk through this journey with us, because we'll be bringing you more abt food, food, food, baby3, eh...hehee...and more abt our adventures in discovering this exciting world of superheroes!
