YAY!!! Finally... :p

Now the two superheroes are 100% mobile and on the go! With our Maxis USB Broadband and our brand new Compaq lappie, we can fly and stay connected at the same time! Haha. :p

After a seemingly long and exhausting search for our beloved lappie, we finally FINALLY settled for our handsome Compaq V3759TU lappie. We decided to opt out of buying DELL 1420 despite loving its white exterior. Yeah, exactly like the one our Auntie L'abeille bought!

Why? well, bad DELL service (they are kinda the lansi lanyong "snobbish" type and are extremely stingy with free extras) and we figure it's a bit inconvenient for us to pay using credit card and buy our lappie without checking it out personally. And we didn't want our lappie to have loose joints after 1 year +. Thanks for the info, Superhero Bro!

And so, after much research and hesitation here and there, we flew to our trusted Low Yat Plaza and into All IT Hypermarket, the largest Computer Retail Outlet in Malaysia. Got their contact from the HP website was pleasantly surprised when we got there to check out on their shop.

We paid RM2500+ cash for our Compaq lappie and some other goods we bought from there. The lappie retails at RM2499 with free 1G upgrade, free mousie and free bag. After undressing our handsome Compaq from his box, we could see his curves and of course, his tattoo...!! OMG. Haha.

Okay lah. Pretty standard stuff for what we can get at RM2499. Very happy with our purchase and hey, Window's Vista is not bad what... *wink* :p

When the superheroes go shopping for office chairs

The two superheroes have been in dire need of a decent office chair that can accommodate Superhero W's expanding butt size. Haha. :p

So where to go other than IKEA, our favourite furniture heaven. Since we were there looking for the apple slicer, we thought we should seize this opportunity to scout around for any decent office chairs to ease Superhero W's misery.

And the hunt begins...

We arrived at the Work station corner and stood amazed at the beautiful display of office chairs in various colours, designs and of course, PRICE TAGS. Most items here can easily work its way up to RM800. *sweats*. But there are still those that are affordable for the normal human beings who shop at IKEA too. So not to worry! Haha. :p

Superhero W liked Patrik almost immediately. This is our superhero resting his tired butt on Patrik. Oh, so comfy! MMmmmmMMm.....

However, a quick look at the price shows that Patrik costs RM699!! OMG. *shouts at Superhero W* don't even think about farting at Patrik!! Haha.

Superhero S, being the girl in the superhero genes, naturally fell in love with this beautiful bright pink Swivel chair. But just as soon as she laid her butt on it, the babe immediately zapped her with electrostatic force. Owwwwwwwwwww!! Hwah. Dangerous. Lari......

At this point, we couldn't really find anything that comes close to wait we have in mind... that is until we saw...

Karsten!!!!! Hello there, handsome! *wink*

Priced at RM299, now this is something we can afford. Haha. And most of all, Karsten's back is very very airy and the seat is very comfortable and springy. Wah.... We're in love. Now lemme jot down where to find Karsten in the huge warehouse... and let's go! weeeeeeeeeeeee.......

But finally... after much consideration, the two superheroes somehow ended up with...

Yeah. It's not Karsten. Don't ask us what happened. :p

But c'mon, Herman looks good too what. Looks modern, sophisticated, clean... With Herman's extraordinarily big and long seating compartment, Superhero W's butt will be very very happy! *grins*

Curry puff frenzy at IKEA

The two superheroes simply love IKEA.

And I believe most people would love IKEA too. Haha. :p

That place is a humongous furniture heaven for kids and families alike, even superheroes!

On a beautiful Sunday noon, we flew to IKEA in an attempt to hunt down a small little low table, a brand new office chair and some kitchen utensils. And we couldn't have chosen a better time to go shopping in IKEA. OMG. There wasn't any parking left and we had to park at the Curve instead. Luckily the ticket was cheap, flat rate RM3. *nearly sweats*

So once at IKEA, the first thing we did was to fly over to their snacks corner. If you're in IKEA, you have gotta try their curry puffies. Priced at RM1 per piece, you get a large hot curry puffie with loads and loads of mashed potatoes, chicky bits and egg bits filled inside. So worth it! :p

Better still, take their combo set. At RM2, you get a curry puffie and a refillable soft drink! Yeah. Now you can drink all you want! Muahahahahaaaa.... :p

So of course we went for the combo, plus an additional curry puffie. The drinks can share share mah, since it's free flow anyway. The queue was pretty long but thanks to the fast working IKEA staff at the counter, we didn't have to wait long.

You might want to try out their self-service hot dog as well, priced at RM2. We tried it out the last time and it was really really fun putting on the sauces yourself. We love the mustard, little pickles and chilli sauce! *grins*

After the light brunch, we shopped, and shopped, AND shopped at IKEA till we drop and just before we went back, we decided to tapau MORE curry puffies because the 2 puffies we had earlier on just wasn't enough. Haha. And so, Superhero W went into the long long queue (because the q has gotten much longer now) and came out with...

Half a dozen of curry puffies!!! OMG. Yummmy!!! :p

And...

Ice cream!! OHHH.... just what we needed after downing those hot hot puffies. Priced at RM1, you can almost see everybody in IKEA holding one! Haha.

We love IKEA... *swoons*

DELL vs. COMPAQ

The two superheroes have been wanting to buy a brand new lappie since the Ice Age. As we often travel back to Malacca and that both superheroes are currently taking different shifts to conquer the PC, we thought it would be a good idea to buy a lappie to avoid us two fighting over the lone PC at Superhero S's home.

Since Superhero S is a computer idiot, she has already passed 99.5% of the responsibility to Superhero W in our quest to find a good lappie. The remaining 0.5% actually accounts for the looks and design of the lappie which will be decided by Superhero S. (What?? I'm only given 0.5% of the purchasing power??)

So far, we've been surveying and researching on which lappie to buy. And we've narrowed down the lappie brands to the two giants - DELL and COMPAQ. To be frank, our budget is only around +/-RM 2,500. Based on what we can afford, we found DELL Inspiron 1420 and Compaq V3000 to be the current front runners.

These two lappies have almost the same specification and the price range is quite near. So, I told Superhero S, it's now up to your 0.5% to choose which design among the two lappies you like the most.

Superhero S finds the exterior for Compaq to be more compact. Haha. It doesn't felt as plasticky as the DELL. But of course, the DELL's colourful exterior is much more attractive and lively.

But then again, when we went to the DELL Direct Store at MidValley, we actually saw a display model with part of its colour scraped off! OMG. So lousy. The salesman said that only the white version has a sort of extra protective plasticky layer that the other colours lack off.

And the thing about DELL, my Superhero Bro actually mentioned that his DELL lappie for 1 year plus actually got kinda loose at its joints. I don't think it's a case of the lappie being flipped open too often. If that's so, then DELL must have a pretty defected quality to start with.

So which is actually a better buy? DELL or Compaq? Any seasoned lappie buyers can help us with this? Haha. :p

We spent RM600 on shopping!!!! WOW...

End of the year = crazy shopping!!

Haha..that's how the two superheroes define our end of 2007 holiday mood....

Ahhh....since 2007 is coming to an end, we thought this would be the perfect time to reward ourselves for the many things we've done this year and for the many good things that's going to happen in our lives next year!

So, what we did? We splurged approximately RM600 on shopping and pure shopping alone!!!! Well, it may not be much for some..but it definitely broke my personal record! :p

So where did our money went?

For Superhero S, 3 tops from MNG and 1 from Esprit! (OH!)

For Superhero W, 1 Zara Jeans and 1 Esprit tee-shirt!

We love life...we love 2007...and we will love 2008 even more! :p
