Ipoh Old Town Kopitiam @ Jalan Yap Kwan Seng
YAY!!!!
The two superheroes finally made it to Ipoh Old Town Kopitiam along Jalan Yap Kwan Seng last Sunday for lunch! Hehe...You cannot imagine just how many times the two of us have been planning our "trip" there already... :p
Despite passing by the shop every single day, we cannot seem to actually park our car there, get our butt off the car and grab a seat at the Kopitiam. Haha. Lunch hour during normal working days is a no-no because office workers all over Megan Avenue, Jalan Tun Razak, not to mention all others around KLCC will be flocking over. So finding a place to park and to seat is much like striking lottery la...haha.
So, we decided to go there on a weekend instead! Lotsa parking, and not crowded at all. Now we're liking it..heh heh. Very very nice ambience. Lotsa fan and air-con around, though I do find that the air con isn't working very well. But the service is very good indeed. Efficient and friendly. Oh..and very NICE toilet too... *grins*
Superhero W ordered Nasi Lemak Special, priced at RM6.50. No...it's not expensive at all. Haha..taking in consideration of the superb nasi, sambal and the fried chicky, it's all worth it! Superhero S ordered their signature dish, Chicken Hor Fun which is priced at RM6.30. This is a MUST-TRY! Very chicky taste to the soup and the hor fun is soft and springy! Big big serving too! The only thing I'm complaining is that they're a lil bit stingy with the chicky laa... :p
For our side orders, we called for 1 single kaya & butter toast and 1 single peanut butter toast (just so that we can compare). The peanut butter one is a bit too dry for my liking, while the kaya & butter one is better. We ordered 2 sets of soft boiled eggs too. Didn't come as soft-boiled as it should be. They certainly need to improve on this. Both the toast and eggs really cannot be compared with the ones we had at Kaya & Toast in Kuching. Those are the classic... :p
For drinks, Superhero W ordered their Special Ice Blended Mocha while Superhero S ordered their cold Xi Mut Milk Tea, which is actually Teh "C" ping. Yummmmmmmmm.....!!!
The bill came at nearly RM40, including tax and service charge. Will definitely be back again to try other food on the menu! :p
